What pages does Kiln include?

Every theme includes a home page, product and category pages, a cart, search results and a blog, plus the header and footer that tie them together. Some themes add pages of their own too, such as a menu, a services page or an FAQ, which you can see on Kiln's own demo before you buy.

Can I see Kiln running before I buy it?

Yes. Kiln has its own demo shop, linked from this page, so you can click through its home page, a product and the cart before you decide.

Can I change the colours and fonts in Kiln?

Yes. Set colours, fonts and button styles once in the page builder and every page of Kiln follows, with the option to pick from the Google Fonts library or upload your own.

Will Kiln work on phones and tablets?

Yes. Kiln's pages are responsive on phones and tablets by default, and most settings can be set differently on each, so you can adjust or hide a block on smaller screens.

Do I get updates to Kiln?

Yes. When a new version of Kiln is published, you can update to it from your dashboard for free. Updating resets the theme's own settings to the new version's defaults, so note any you have changed first.

Is Kiln a one-off purchase, or is there a subscription?

There is no subscription for Kiln itself. It is either free to install or a one-off charge shown in the store before you buy, and there is no recurring fee either way.

What Kiln does well

Photo grid opens the page
A grid of eight photos opens the home page, with a clay to finished glaze story further down.
About page for the maker's story
A linked about page gives room for the studio's own craftsmanship story.
Sort and switch views
Category pages can be sorted and filtered, with a switch between grid and list view.

Suits a ceramics or homeware maker who wants the photography of each piece to do the talking.

Pages

A theme is a whole shop, not just a home page. Open any page with an address in the live demo.

Colours and type

Kiln sets its colours, fonts and buttons once, in style settings, and every page follows. Change them there and the whole shop changes with them.
